In Memory Of for Eric Nelams, United States Military, Honored by Fort Mitchell National Cemetery
Today, we honor the life of Eric Bernard Nelams - a devoted father, a proud veteran, and a beloved member of his community whose warmth and steadiness remain deeply missed. Eric served his country with dignity, and those who knew him remember the quiet strength he carried into every part of his life. Eric was murdered in 2003, and his case remains unsolved. For more than 22 years, his family has held on to hope that the truth will one day come to light. They continue to seek answers with the same determination and love that defined Eric’s own spirit. As we place this wreath in his memory, we carry forward the promise that Eric will never be forgotten. His family’s hope endures, and their commitment to finding the person responsible reflects the profound love they have for him. Today, we remember Eric with gratitude for his service, respect for his life, and unwavering support for the family who continues to fight for justice in his name.
